- Dec 1995 - Toys start being collected for holidays at Children's Hospital At Strong - first donation from Toys for Tots program at Wegmans.
- 1996 - Pirate Toy Fund program was developed through Children's Hospital at Strong Development Office. Toys were distributed to admitted pediatric patients there year round.
Oct 1997 - Gary and founding board members decide to break with exclusivity of Strong and want to provide toys to all hospitalized children in Rochester. Start getting the message out about the new expanded direction of the program. We start distributing toys from Village Gate, 274 North Goodman Street.
- May 5 1998 - Incorporation is obtained.
- Dec 4 1998 - 501c3 is obtained. We serve all area hospitals (same day surgery and admitted patients) and the American Red Cross.
- 1999 - We add Saint's Place, Livingston Health Services as program recipients.
- June 1999 - Awarded Red Cross Good Neighbor Award
- Dec 2000 - 1st 10 NBC Annual Pirate Toy Fund Drive sponsored by Chase Pitkin.
- 2001 - We add Alternatives for Battered Women, Monroe County Foster Care Pediatric Practice and Rochester City Fire Dept & Noyes Hospital as program recipients.
- Dec 2001 - 2nd 10 NBC Annual Pirate Toy Fund Drive sponsored by Chase Pitkin.
- 2002 - We add Sojourner House, Women's Place, Sanctuary House & Bethany House as program recipients.
Dec 2002 - 3rd 10 NBC Annual Pirate Toy Fund Drive sponsored by Chase Pitkin.
- March 2003 - We expand and move our location to 1453 East Main Street after purchasing the property. Continue to consider new programs to add to our roster on a monthly basis.
- Feb - Oct 2004 - Complete renovations of our conference room as per City of Rochester mandate to approve our certificate of occupancy.
- Jan 2005 - Make our first attempts to procure a grant.
