Before your organization starts collecting toys, please read the FAQs below and contact the Pirate Toy Fund to let us know the details of your toy drive.
What toys do you accept?
Toys must be new and unwrapped due to our program partners’ requirements. We accept toys for children ages infant to 14 years-old.
Is there a minimum/maximum amount of toys needed to be raised?
No. Any amount is appreciated.
What should we collect the donated toys in?
Boxes (or plastic bags) are great. Feel free to create your own eye-catching collection boxes. This can be a great team building exercise or a great way for kids to interact. Have a box decorating party!
Can you pick up our toys?
Unfortunately, due to our limited staff we can not pick up the toy donations.
Where do we drop the toys off?
After your drive, you can drop them off at our headquarters located at 46 Turner Drive, Spencerport, NY 14559, generally between 9:30am-4pm, Monday through Friday. Please Note: Before you drop off your toys, please be sure to call ahead to let us know when you'll be coming as we have a limited staff. Our phone number is (585) 271-5519.
Are there any other places we can drop off the toys?
Yes. If it’s more convenient, you can drop the toys off at any of the collection chests located around the Rochester area (Eastview Mall, The Mall at Greece Ridge, The Strong Museum, or Marketplace Mall). The chests are usually found near the customer service areas and are accessible during their hours of operation. If you bring the toys to one of these locations, please let us know you have done so.
Will the Pirate Toy Fund help promote our toy drive?
We try our best to promote every toy drive that benefits the Pirate Toy Fund via our social media networks (Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram). However, due to our limited staff, that’s not always possible. Please be sure to email any photos from your toy drive to info@PirateToyFund.org. We'll do our best to post the photos and acknowledge your efforts!
